2024 AUTHOR NOMINATIONS HAVE CLOSED

Nominate a 2024 Literary Lion!

The 30th anniversary of the Literary Lions Gala will feature keynote Chris Bohjalian as well as a panel of 20 authors with a recent publication to be honored as our “Literary Lions”.

These authors should represent diversity in lived experiences and genre of writing and should be able to attend our event in person on March 2, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, WA.

Nominations must be submitted by August 14, 2023.

Nomination Criteria:

  • The author has a new book to promote, ideally published September 2023 – February 2024, but exceptions made for books earlier in 2023 that were highly acclaimed/well known authors.

  • Preferably, the author’s latest title will still be in hardback format at the time of the event.

  • Ideally the author is local to the Pacific NW or willing to travel to Bellevue, WA. *

 
 


* We will ask all nominated authors to commit to participating in-person and they will be expected to cover any travel expenses as we we do not have a travelor honorarium.  This is an opportunity to be honored with other amazing authors and meet fans, as well as support King County Library Programs.  The author's recent book as well as back titles will be sold at the event via one of our local book partners, Third Place Books.
